About JAC Air Conditioning
We are a family run air conditioning company, established in 2010, with an office in Horsham and a second base at Fosdyke in Lincolnshire. Jay and Oscar do the work, and Nicola runs the office.
A Family Firm in Sussex and Lincolnshire
JAC Air Conditioning Ltd was incorporated on 9 August 2010 and is a family run company. Our Sussex and Surrey work is planned, quoted and booked from our office in Horsham, and our Lincolnshire work is looked after from our base at Fosdyke, near Boston, which is also our registered office.
We install, service and repair air conditioning for homes and businesses, and we look after air handling units and plant room pipework for commercial clients. The same small team does all of it. The person who surveys your building is one of the people who fits the system, and the voice on the phone when you ring about a service is the same one you spoke to when you first enquired.
Our Sussex office is on the second floor of the Afon Building, Worthing Road, Horsham, RH12 1TL, and from there we work across Sussex and Surrey, from Guildford and Godalming to Brighton, Worthing and Chichester. Our Lincolnshire base at 61b Old Main Road, Fosdyke, Boston, PE20 2BU serves Boston, Spalding, Sleaford, Grantham, Lincoln and the villages between. You can see every town on our areas we cover page.
We would rather explain a system properly than sell one quickly. A good installation is sized for the room, sits where it is heard least and serviced most easily, and is looked after for years afterwards. That is the work we set out to do, whether the job is a single bedroom or a whole office floor.

Check Our Credentials Yourself
Turn the REFCOM seal over for the certificate itself, then check it on REFCOM's own register. Each of the other three cards turns over to say what it means for you.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 3 Diamond Dealer
The top MHI dealer levelWhat It Means for You
3 Diamond is the highest dealer level Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning awards, and it is our own badge.
When an MHI system suits your rooms, it is chosen, fitted and registered for its manufacturer warranty by a dealer working directly with the maker.
Federation of Small Businesses
Member companyWhat It Means for You
We belong to the Federation of Small Businesses, the body that speaks for small firms across the UK.
You deal directly with the family who run the company, from the first phone call to the last service visit.
CITB and City and Guilds Qualified
Construction Safety Scheme registeredWhat It Means for You
Our engineers hold CITB and City and Guilds qualifications, and the company is registered with the Construction Safety Scheme.
At home that means trained engineers working safely in your house; on a commercial site the safety paperwork is ready before we arrive.

The People You Will Deal With
Jay and Oscar are our engineers. They carry out the surveys, write the quotations and do the installation, servicing and repair work themselves. If Oscar comes to look at your rooms, there is a good chance Oscar will be one of the people fitting the units, so the details you agreed at the survey, such as the pipe route or the position of the outdoor unit, are not lost between a salesperson and an installer.
Nicola runs the office. She arranges surveys and service visits, keeps the records for commercial customers on planned maintenance, and is the person to ring on 01403 733 492 with a question about a booking, a quotation or an invoice. For a breakdown or an emergency out of hours, the engineers' mobile is 07802 418530.
Being a small family firm means the people who answer for the work are the people who do it. It also means you know who is coming, and you can ask the same person a question a year later when the system is due its service.
What Each Credential Means
REFCOM F-Gas company certification. Most air conditioning refrigerants are fluorinated greenhouse gases, and only a certified company may install, service or repair a refrigerant circuit. JAC Air Conditioning Ltd holds REFCOM Company Certificate REF1019419 for the Stationary Equipment Qualification, issued on 25 May 2025 and valid to 25 May 2028. It is issued by Refcom Certification Ltd, a BESA Group company appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs under the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2015. It covers all systems under or over 3 kg, and hermetically sealed systems over 6 kg.
How to check it. Refcom publishes a register of certified companies on its website, refcom.org.uk. Open the Refcom Register and search by company name or by postcode, and you will find our entry. We are also happy to send a copy of the certificate with your quotation, so you can match the number REF1019419 and the expiry date for yourself. It is a sensible check to make with any installer, not only with us.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 3 Diamond Dealer. This is the top level of dealer status with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning and Water Heating. For you it means an MHI system is supplied and fitted by a dealer the manufacturer recognises at its highest level, while we remain free to recommend another brand where it suits the room better.
FSB, CITB, City and Guilds and the Construction Safety Scheme. We are members of the Federation of Small Businesses. Our engineers are CITB qualified and City and Guilds qualified, and registered with the Construction Safety Scheme. That registration matters on commercial sites, where a main contractor or a building manager may ask for evidence of safe working before anyone starts.
How We Work
Every installation starts with a survey. We look at the rooms, the walls, where the outdoor unit could go and how the pipework would run, and we talk about how you use the space. The quotation that follows is free and carries no obligation. It is written down, it names the units, and it says what is included, so you can compare it fairly with any other price you are given.
On the day, the pipework is brazed and pressure tested, the system is vacuumed before the refrigerant is released, and it is commissioned and shown to you before we leave. We register the manufacturer warranty and then talk to you about servicing, because a system that is looked after once a year runs better for longer, and manufacturers usually require regular servicing to keep the warranty valid. You can read more about our air conditioning installation and our air conditioning servicing visits.
We fit Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, GENERAL, Samsung and LG, and we service and repair every major brand, including systems another company fitted. The data sheets for the ranges we install are on our specification sheets page, and we will send the sheet for any system we quote.

Questions, Answered
Is JAC Air Conditioning a family business?
Yes. JAC Air Conditioning Ltd was incorporated in August 2010 and is family run. Jay and Oscar are the engineers who survey, quote and carry out the work, and Nicola runs the office and the bookings. You deal with the same few people from your first call to your annual service, which is how we prefer to work.
How can I check your F-Gas certification?
Go to refcom.org.uk, open the Refcom Register and search by company name or postcode. Our company certificate number is REF1019419, issued on 25 May 2025 and valid to 25 May 2028. We can also send a copy of the certificate with your quotation. Only a certified company may install, service or repair a refrigerant circuit, so this is worth checking with any installer.
What does MHI 3 Diamond Dealer mean?
It is the top level of dealer status with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning and Water Heating, so the manufacturer recognises us at its highest dealer level. We still install other leading brands, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, GENERAL, Samsung and LG, and we recommend whichever suits your rooms and budget rather than one name by default.
Where are your offices?
Our Sussex office is on the second floor of the Afon Building, Worthing Road, Horsham, West Sussex RH12 1TL, and it covers Sussex and Surrey. Our registered office and Lincolnshire base is at 61b Old Main Road, Fosdyke, Boston PE20 2BU, covering Boston, Spalding, Sleaford, Grantham, Lincoln and the surrounding area. Bookings for both go through the office on 01403 733 492.
Will the engineer who quotes also do the work?
Usually, yes. Jay and Oscar carry out the surveys and the installations themselves, so whoever looks at your rooms and agrees the positions of the units is normally one of the people who fits them. That keeps the details you discussed, such as the pipe route or where the outdoor unit sits, from getting lost between a salesperson and an installer.
Do you only work on systems you installed?
No. We service and repair every major brand, including systems fitted by another company or by an installer who is no longer trading. On the first visit we check what is there, tell you plainly what we find and what it needs, and then we can add it to a regular service schedule so it is looked after properly from then on.
